Method notes behind the RizzitGO Spreadsheet Postmark
The checks behind every town, distance and quote on this site. An independent guide, not run by RizzitGO.
How each town entry was checked
A town only went on the list if we could tie it to the goods it is known for through a public page we could open and read on 17 October 2026: a government page, a page from a national newspaper or news agency, or an article from a statutory trade body. We kept a dated copy of each page and the sentence that supports the entry. Trade guides, supplier pages and sourcing blogs did not count, however confident they sounded.
| Place | Where | Widely known for | Kind of source | From Huizhou |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dalang | Dongguan | knitwear, jumpers above all | national newspaper | 50 km |
| Xintang | Zengcheng district, Guangzhou | denim and jeans | district government page | 80 km |
| Humen | Dongguan | garments, and the fashion fairs held there each year | national newspaper | 90 km |
| Shahe | Guangzhou | clothing wholesale | statutory trade council and city media | 120 km |
| Shaxi | Zhongshan | casual wear | national newspaper | 130 km |
| Yiwu | Jinhua | small goods of every kind, scarves among them | national newspapers | 890 km |
| Datang | Zhuji, Shaoxing | socks | national newspaper | 930 km |
| Shanxiahu | Zhuji, Shaoxing | freshwater pearls | national newspaper | 950 km |
| Sijiqing market | Hangzhou | clothing wholesale | national newspaper | 980 km |
| Puyuan | Tongxiang, Jiaxing | woollen jumpers | national newspaper | 1,040 km |
| Pinghu | Jiaxing | down jackets | national newspaper | 1,070 km |
| Changshu | Suzhou | garment wholesale markets | national newspaper | 1,140 km |
| Qinghe | Xingtai | cashmere | central government news page | 1,550 km |
Some candidates did not survive. A few towns that buyers often mention had only trade-guide sources behind them, and one market district was covered by a better-sourced neighbour; we left them out rather than pad the list. We also chose not to cover footwear or bag towns at all, and we write only "widely known for", never anything about who makes what for whom.
The town descriptions refer to dated public reporting, not a survey of current factories or sellers. A town’s reputation does not establish the origin of an item offered by a particular shop. The geographic records and source references were retained with this review.
Examples you can read: the Xintang district profile (23 January 2026) describes its denim industry; the HKTDC Guangzhou garment-market report names Shahe among the wholesale markets; and the Qinghe cashmere report (19 January 2025) describes processing and spinning. These pages were reopened on 18 October 2026. Their reporting gives regional context, not a current endorsement of any seller.

Measuring the straight-line distance
Each distance on this site is a great-circle distance: the shortest path over the Earth's surface between two points, worked out with the haversine formula and a mean Earth radius of 6,371 km, then rounded to the nearest 10 km. The coordinates come from public encyclopaedia records for each city or town; three small towns whose English entries carry no coordinates took them from the linked-data record or the Chinese-language entry.
Huizhou's point is the city's own coordinate, not the warehouse, whose street address we do not publish. For a province without a checked town we measure to the provincial capital.
A road is always longer than a straight line, and couriers do not drive straight lines, so treat the figures as a way to compare places, not as a delivery distance. Using a different point within the city can change the rounded number. These values are city-reference distances, not measurements to the actual warehouse door.

What we tried to open and could not
Two checks did not give a clean answer, and we would rather say so. First, we tried to see whether a RizzitGO item page repeats the seller's ship-from place. On 17 October 2026 RizzitGO asked us to sign in before showing search results or item pages, and its item data would not load without an account. The page code we could read carries a province field only for your own delivery address, not for the seller. That access limit does not prove which fields a signed-in item page displays. Check the original listing and ask the seller when the dispatch location is unclear.
Second, we opened listings on the marketplaces themselves without signing in. 1688 item pages showed the ship-from city in the delivery row, often with a dispatch promise beside it. Taobao and Tmall item pages sent us to a sign-in page, and a Goofish search offered a region filter but no item details. So where this site says where the line usually sits on Taobao or Tmall, that is general interface guidance, not a claim of a verified signed-in view on that date.
Neither gap changes the advice: read the ship-from line on the original listing before you paste it into RizzitGO.
How the shelf links are kept working
Every card and entry on this site leads to a live catalogue shelf or search, and every RizzitGO page we link to was rendered in a headless browser and its heading read before it went on the page. That second step matters because RizzitGO's site returns one identical single-page frame for any address you type, so a broken link would not show up as an error.
This review checked local routes and preserved dated outbound-source evidence. Future reviews should recheck changed official pages and links; no automatic monitoring or fixed refresh schedule is promised. Distances only change if the warehouse city changes, and the RizzitGO quotes carry the date we last read them.
If you find a dead link before we do, the address at the foot of every page reaches us.

Judging any Spreadsheet site by its sources
There are many catalogue sites for China buyers, and the useful question to ask of any of them, this one included, is where its claims come from. A good one tells you what it checked, when it checked it, and what it could not check. A weak one gives round numbers with no date, ranks agents or sellers without saying how, or copies a policy paragraph without saying whose it is.
What makes a Spreadsheet site worth using, in our view: links that still work, dates on anything that changes, a visible boundary separating the agent's own words from the site's opinions, and an honest note on what the site is not. This site is not run by RizzitGO, does not rank anything, and does not tell you what to buy.
Choosing a spreadsheet to rely on is easier once you have checked two or three of its claims yourself. Pick one of our town entries and look it up.
Dated changes to these pages
Material changes recorded in this local review appear here, newest first.
18 October 2026: added the official ordering guide and full cost decisions; removed arrival-time predictions from distance bands; clarified domestic delivery charges, access-limited observations, storage versus returns and independent editorial scope. The 13 town records and 33 place distances were preserved.
- 17 October 2026
- First local draft prepared. Thirteen checked places; distances measured from Huizhou; RizzitGO forwarding rule five, the return table row on products from outside the mainland, the Shipping Policy timings and the exchange rate read the same day.
- 17 October 2026
- Exchange rate re-read: RizzitGO's site rate for the US dollar ran about 13 per cent above its own rate field and about 12.8 per cent above that morning's mid-market rate.
- Next scheduled check
- Before acting on a quote, check the agent’s current account terms. Published review dates do not promise an automated or guaranteed update interval.
If a RizzitGO page changes before our next check, the live RizzitGO page is the one that counts.
